アフリカ・ソマリア沖の海賊が怖くて、世界周航するヨットは紅海からスエズ運河を通って地中海に向かう航路ではなく、アフリカ大陸を大回りで希望峰経由で航海するようになって久しいと聞きましたが、今はどうなのでしょうか？　　西回りでインド洋を横断してきたヨットは、長期間の航海の疲れを癒すため、最初に投錨する泊地がここケニア・モンバサの北40マイルのKilifi Yacht Clubなのかも知れません。泊地には数艇の大型ヨットが停泊し、クラブのレストランでは西洋人がゆるりと食事を楽しんでいました。（みち）

Pirates at offshore Somalia have been attacking small vessels going through Red Sea and Suez Canal to Mediterranean Sea, so that long cruise yachts have chosen the sailing route going around African Continent via Cape of Good Hope. They might drop anchor at Kilifi Yacht Club, Mombasa, Kenya for a short rest after long voyage crossing Indian Ocean. Many European sailors are enjoying African food at the Club restaurant. (Michi)
