5/2&3 横須賀校でSBDを実施しました
ゴールデンウィークの真っただ中、横須賀校でSBDを実施しました。
今回の受講生は外国人の方々で、カリキュラムは全て英語で進めていきます。
SBDの目標は、スキッパーとしてクルーの安全確保とマリーナでの離着岸ができるようになること。
ヨット用語を覚えたり、安全に関する知識を習得したり、お互いの意見や考えを交換したり、実際に離着岸の練習をしたり。
終始楽しみながら、非常に充実した2日間を過ごすことができました。
卒業テストにも無事に合格し、ASA-118の国際ライセンスを取得いただきました。
ご受講いただき、ありがとうございました。
また次のコースでお目にかかれることを楽しみにしています。

Hi Guys,
It was a fun 2 day course at the Yokosuka Marina Velasis with Instructor & Skipper Masa Yamamoto. The classes and instruction were conductor fully in English and to this we are are grateful and appreciate the splendid efforts by Instructor Skipper Masa! The instruction were clear with several aspects of sailing that we realize is not in “textbooks”!!! That has been invaluable and all thanks to Skipper Masa!
The 1st day was unfortunately uneventful and this is all due to wind gusts that would not making sailing possible, or even a pleasant experience..at least for us beginners! The 1st days was in turn a day of “theory” where we got to learn a whole bunch of sailing terminology, safety measure and etc and etc that we would need for the next day, of out on the boat for the whole day!
Jesse and I had a great time the 2nd day and it was as thrilling as it was in learning to be the crew and skipping a boat!
We thankful to Skipper Masa for his wonderful instructions, tips and guides.
Jesse and I are now both certified for ASA118!!! やったね！！
Jesse and I are looking forward to our next course in BKB..and we are looking at a June schedule to do this. We plan to do this as a team and hopefully with Instructor Masa in teaching us more on sailing!!
To those still wondering if taking a course in sailing is fun and thrilling activity?…it is!!! And when one has an Instructor like Masa….it can only get more better and fun!!!

Well, CONGRATULATIONS again for passing both written exam and on-the-water test with high scores, and qualifying for ASA’s international certification! You guys did a great job!!
I look forward to seeing you and Jesse in the next class (BKB). We are going to learn a lot more about sailing, and, of course, we are going to have a lot more FUN on the water!!
